Skiing

North Wales has three dry slopes where pupils can try out skiing. We are unusual in making skiing part of the school curriculum in years 7 and 8, with it becoming optional later on. The school is fifteen minutes from the outdoor dry ski slope at Llandudno, overlooking the sea and with views of the mountains, and less than an hour away from the training centre in Snowdonia, at Plas-y-Brenin.

Skiing is a well established sport at Rydal Penrhos, and the school has enjoyed much success over the years, with pupils winning gold medals in local, national and international competitions. Please read the news stories on the right to find out more.

Skiing is also hugely popular at our Prep school, where pupils can have their first taster session at age five. There is an after school club run on Thursday afternoons for Pre-Prep pupils in the Autumn term and for Prep pupils in the Winter/Spring term.
