Teachers feel good for charity
Teachers and staff at Rydal Penrhos School spent the day in their slippers on Friday 3 February to support the Samaritans’, Feel Good Friday campaign.
In return for a donation of £3, teachers and staff were able to wear their slippers throughout the day, much to the amusement of the pupils! Teachers also enjoyed foot massages in the staff common room courtesy of Mr Mather, Sports Development Officer in exchange for a donation to the charity.
Samaritans’ Head of Fundraising, Chris Jarrett said: “Thank you to all the staff at Rydal Penrhos School who helped make Feel Good Friday such a successful fundraiser. Every five seconds Samaritans receives a call from someone struggling to cope, and funds raised will help us answer more calls from people with nowhere else to turn.”
