Term ends with Christmas carol service
The autumn term drew to a close with a Christmas Carol Service held in St John’s Uniting Church attended by pupils, teachers, invited guests and family members.
The service began with a beautiful candle lit rendition of O Little Town of Bethlehem, which began with a solo by Lani Harker at the rear of the church, before she was then joined by the Senior Choir as they made their way along the aisle to the front of the church.
The School Chaplain, Reverend Nick Sissons led the service and worship took many forms including poetry, carols, prayers and readings.
The excellent Senior Choir sang a number of carols including ‘Rise up shepherd and follow’, ‘African Lullaby’ and crowd favourite ‘Sheep Sheep’.
The service drew to a close with a reading by Headmaster Mr Lee-Browne before ‘O come all ye faithful’ was sung by the congregation and a final blessing by Reverend Sissons.
