Amazing talent at Christmas Concert
Christmas celebrations got off to a fantastic start on Tuesday 6 December as the annual Christmas Concert at Rydal Penrhos School took place.
The Memorial Hall was filled to capacity as an audience of family, friends and pupils took to their seats for an evening of musical entertainment.
The audience were kept entertained with incredible performances by the Orchestra, a Piano Duet and a Voice solo by Emily Harrison before Valentin Joerss, Max Lenzer and Luke Hellinga sang Gaudete.
The first half drew to a close with the String group performing Carol of the Drum, followed by a performance by the JVE, who then joined the Choir on stage for a rousing rendition of Sheep Sheep.
The Jazz Band took the floor to open the second half with Year 10 pupils, saxophonist Glen Davies and pianist Nicholas Widdowson arranging The Christmas Song into a jazz style. They were followed by excellent performances by the Orchestra and the Wind group.
The evening drew to a close with the rugby boys (and friends) singing Good King Wenceslas, before the whole crowd were on their feet to sing along to O Come all ye Faithful and We wish you a Merry Christmas.
