Impressive day at Fives Tournament
25 pairs took part in the Midlands Competition held at Wolverhampton Grammar School.
Taking part were pairs from Shrewsbury School, Uppingham School, Wolverhampton, Wrekin College, St Olaves School, Oakham School as well as Rydal Penrhos.
Congratulations go to Tom Cotterell and Matthew Harding who defeated Wolverhampton 1 in the final to win the competition and to cap a very impressive day.
Jack Sissons and Daniel Phillips also enjoyed a very successful day beating a talented Shrewsbury 1st pair, before losing to the eventual winners in the semi-final which was undoubtedly the closest game of the day.
Alex Benfield and Henry Davies entered the festival after the group stages and lost in the semi-final, in a tightly fought affair. They performed well throughout the day and made considerable improvements.
