Ski team triumphant at Ski Races
The ski team competed in their first race of the year at the North Wales Ski Races at Plas y Brenin on Wednesday 28 September.
Rydal Penrhos entered four teams in total into the Races, consisting of 3 Boy Teams and 1 Girl’s Team.
The Girls team narrowly lost out to a team from Eirias, but Sophie Elliott earned the gold medal for coming first in the individual unregistered racers category, while Seren Kerfoot-Robson took second place in the registered racers group.
The B and C Boys teams both skied well with some fantastic individual performances; however it was Team A who were the most successful on the day. Tom Harding produced the fastest overall time, closely followed in second place by Ben Crocker.
With all 4 skiers of Team A completing the course in the top 6 (Henry Salisbury and Sol Kerfoot-Robson finished in 5th and 6th place respectively), Rydal Penrhos School won the gold by a convincing margin.
