Sailing team pick up first prizes of the year

Saturday 17 September – CYRC & North Wales Schools Championships, Llandudno
The sailing team were met with strong winds, large waves and lots of rain as they took part in the Club Youth Racing Circuit and North Wales School Championships at Llandudno Sailing Club on Saturday.
Henry Salisbury came in overall 2nd in the general handicap fleet following three races and Brad Farrell came in 3rd.
In the Topper Silver fleet, Gabriel Abed came in 3rd place and also won the Llandudno Sailing Club junior trophy.
A special mention goes to Clemi Saunders and Tom Warrington who showed great determination in the 65 strong fleet.
The sailing team provided two ribs in support of the event, with thanks going to James Fulker and Harry Ormerod who helped crew the boats.
A successful end to a cold and wet day.
