With a comprehensive and enthusiastic language department, every pupil at Rydal Penrhos School is expected to study at least one modern language at GCSE level. Pupils are encouraged not only to learn a language but to also understand the culture of the country to gain a broad understanding.
The recent GCSE results revealed that 70% of Rydal Penrhos School pupils secured a pass in at least one modern language. Pupils can choose to study French or German at GCSE level with Spanish available to Sixth Form pupils as part of the International Baccalaureate.
